Section 1: Introduction

The study of scales is very important to site reading and key signature. The very foundation of music was built on scales and progression. Chords, Tetra chords, and even key signatures are birthed from scales.

Like key signatures, there is no easy way around knowing a scale. The only way to have the information readily available to you at all times is to simply memorize them. In the next section, a few of the most common scales have been written out for you.
