Now that you understand the basics of music theory, we are going to add to it, more specific theory as well as some concepts to composition. These concepts form the next level of music theory and are intended for intermediate students. You must have a core understanding of the basics before continuing.

If you have been reading all the way through, please take a break at this time to allow what you have learned to sink in, especially the definitions. When you feel that you have grasped that understanding, you may continue.
