Music Theory and Composition Class

Looking for a fun but structured class to begin or rekindle your interest in music? This course will build a solid foundation of the theoretical elements of music, including sound, pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation.

In addition, students are introduced to songwriting concepts, site reading, and are required to complete a short, original composition.

A textbook is included.This course is intended for beginners or anyone desiring a refresher of music fundamentals and rudiments. Required prerequisites: must know how to use a mouse, type on a keyboard, and navigate the web.

This course is a six to nine week course, and includes live instruction and hands on education. It includes practice exercises, real-world example, evaluations, and graded examinations.

Class Schedules: Tuesdays & Thursdays (beginning May 22nd, 2007)
Two-hour weekend Intensive (beginning Saturday, May 26th, 2007)
  Day: 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. (EST)
  Evening: 5:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. (EST)
  Saturday: 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. (EST)
