Section 2: Common Scales (One Octave)

These are fourteen of the most commonly used scales. Pay very close attention to the accidentals for ascending and descending order. There are many more scales, (chromatic, harmonic minor, etc), that are important; however we highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with these first.

Minor scales are also called Melodic scales.
